About 13 homes in Altoona are under a boil water warning after a water main break on 25th Avenue between 11th and 12th streets, the Altoona Water Authority said.

A loss of positive water pressure could have allowed contaminants to enter the system in the area.

Authority employees notified the affected customers.

The boil notice will be lifted once tests confirm there is no contamination.
