Longtime Blair County resident Nancy Head is running for Republican State Committee, with hopes of giving back to a community in which she’s established her roots.

“This area’s been very good to me. I really want to give back and I feel this is the best way to do that,” Head said. “I want to give something back to the community who’s given so much to us.”

The Altoona resident teaches part time at both Penn State Altoona and Great Commission Schools. She also serves as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces Mothers, Allegheny Mountain Toastmasters and the Christian counseling group Day One Ministries.
