Homicide victim identified

From Mirror staff reports

A Blandburg man has been identified as the victim of a Tuesday homicide in Madera, Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw Jr. said. In addition, a male suspect in the case is in custody.

Shaw identified the victim as Joshua Allen Sahm, 30, of Blandburg.

State police responded Tuesday to an apartment located along Main Street in Madera for the report of an injured male, Shaw said. When troopers arrived, they were told that Sahm had been stabbed and was being transported by ambulance to UPMC Altoona.

Officers observed a large amount of blood in the apartment, Shaw said in a press release. Sahm died while being transported.

Shaw said that a male suspect has been lodged in the Clearfield County Jail on a probation detainer, and he anticipates that a criminal complaint charging the male with homicide will be filed soon. Shaw said, “that an autopsy is currently in progress and we are awaiting results from the pathologist.”
