Logan Township Supervisor Dave Rhoa is running for re-election, and his name is on the ballot for the Republican primary.

Rhoa touted his efforts during his eight years on the board of supervisors to achieve “cultural change in the leadership and management of our police department” — an effort that has led to increased public confidence, community interaction and employee morale, he said.

He has helped the township save thousands of dollars by obtaining less costly health insurance for employees without violating township contracts with union workers, he said.

And he’s helped the township save money on administration of on-lot septic systems, he said.

“I commit to common sense, honesty, integrity, respect and transparency,” Rhoa stated in a news release. “I pledge to spend within our means (and) to keep taxes as low as possible, while providing the public services that our citizens deserve.”
