Town hall meeting set
CLEARFIELD — Clearly Ahead Development will hold a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. April 9 in the Clearfield High School Auditorium to discuss plans for the proposed Clearfield Whitewater Recreation Park.
Community members are encouraged to attend and provide input on the project, which is envisioned as a permanent replacement alternative for the partially breached Raftsman’s Memorial Dam in Clearfield Borough.
Job fair set for April 2
BEDFORD — PA CareerLink Bedford County will host a spring job fair on April 2 at Jordan Hall, Bedford County Fairgrounds.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a special early access period for veterans from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Job seekers can explore on-the-spot interviews, network with hiring managers, and discover career opportunities — all at no cost to attend.
Job seekers will be able to connect with 60 employers who are actively hiring across multiple industries.

Penn State Extension to hold workshop
UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State Extension will hold an in-person workshop, “Agronomy Scout School,” aimed at providing crop scouts with an overview of the fundamentals necessary for scouting in corn, soybeans, forages and small grains.
The workshop will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 5 at the Agricultural Sciences and Industries Building at 160 Curtin Road on Penn State’s University Park campus.
An online course also is available.
Participants must register by March 31.
