Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is continuing its annual tradition of offering a free treat on the first day of spring.

Guests who visit a Rita’s location today, March 20, will receive a free six-ounce Italian ice in an available flavor of their choice. All 575 Rita’s locations are expected to give away about 1 million cups of Italian ice. The promotion will be available during open hours and until they are closed or sold out.

Rita’s has three locations in the region. Rita’s Altoona location is at 3415 Pleasant Valley Blvd.; Rita’s in Bedford is at 135 W. Pitt St.; and Rita’s in State College is at 1609 N. Atherton St. Hours can be found on Rita’s website.
