Scholarship fund donation will support future nurses
The 1889 Foundation has announced a donation of $40,000 to the Alberta Simpson Gerber Nursing Scholarship Fund, an already-established initiative dedicated to supporting nursing students in need of financial assistance for their education. The donation, made by Dennis Gerber in honor of his mother, will significantly enhance the fund’s capacity to provide scholarships to deserving students in the upcoming academic year and beyond.
The donation will directly benefit nursing students who may otherwise struggle to afford the rising costs of tuition, books and living expenses by helping to provide the financial support they need to succeed.
