Sheetz offering free coffee

Sheetz is celebrating the beginning of the holiday season by offering free self-serve coffee for Thanksgiving week.

Now through Saturday, Sheetz will offer customers one free self-serve coffee. The offer will be available at all of Sheetz’s 750-plus store locations.

Customers can redeem the deal by adding it under the Offerz tab on the Sheetz app. The offer can only be applied once per My Sheetz Rewardz member and redeemed only once during Thanksgiving week.

Shaner announces alliance

Officials of Shaner Hotels, State College, have announced the formation of an alliance between its Shaner Italia division and Dubai-based The First Group. As part of the strategic alliance, The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, will be the first of many similar projects the partnership will seek to expand its portfolio. This is the first hotel to debut under The First Group’s lifestyle hospitality brand, The First Collection.

The new alliance will promote hotel management agreements throughout the Middle East, North Africa, Greece and Cyprus. Hotels will operate under the First Collection, Tribute Portfolio and the Marriott international family of brands.

Chamber sets trip meeting

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Epic Journeys LLC, will be hosting a Magical Christmas Markets trip, from Dec. 6-13, 2025.

Travelers will take a voyage by train and horse-drawn carriage through Austria and Germany and experience the charm of the Alps, local markets and traditional cuisine. Stops will include Innsbruck, Seefeld, Salzburg, Mirabell Gardens, Linderhof Palace, and Munich. Ground transportation from Altoona to the airport is included.
