June marketing bootcamp set

Startup Alleghenies and the Small Business Administration is offering a free Marketing Bootcamp on Tuesdays from June 7 to 28 for small business owners.

The Marketing Bootcamp is designed to train entrepreneurs on the most effective, up to date marketing techniques. Topic areas include branding, website creation, digital marketing and email marketing. Participants will hear from four different marketing professionals. The program is delivered via webinar training modules and one-on-one office hours with advertising and marketing professionals.

Duncansville O’Reilly opens

O’Reilly Auto Parts has opened a new store at 1108 Plank Road in Duncansville.

The store will be celebrating a grand opening from May 11 to 24.

Store Manager Bob Beck, on behalf of the entire company, will present a $200 check to United Way of Blair County.

O’Reilly Automotive Inc. is one of the largest specialty retailers of automotive aftermarket parts, tools, supplies, equipment and accessories in the United States.

Senior LIFE sets opening

Senior LIFE Altoona, a Medicare and Medicaid approved long-term care program that provides complete medical care and supportive services for persons 55 years and older, is hosting a grand opening of the new LIFE Center from 4 to 6 p.m. May 12 at 2891 Fairway Drive in Altoona.

The grand opening is an opportunity for the local community to learn about the program and services offered by Senior LIFE and tour the new facility.

The new location of the Senior LIFE Health and Wellness Center will allow the program to serve a larger number of community seniors and will feature a new medical clinic with advanced equipment, larger dayrooms, a full kitchen to provide meals, and personal care facilities.
