Business to raise money for Ukrainian crisis

The Fifth Local Eatery & Alehouse, 1424 Scalp Ave., Johnstown, is hosting an event to raise money for families affected by the Ukraine crisis.

“It’s difficult to see what’s happening,” said co-owner Corey Crocco in a statement. “We decided to stand with the people of the Ukraine by raising money to help with medical aid and relief efforts.”

On Monday, the Fifth Local Eatery and Alehouse is featuring two vodka drinks and 100% of sales of these drinks will go to United Help Ukraine. The Fifth will match 100% of those funds to double the donation. The event runs from 4 p.m. to closing.

United Help Ukraine is a charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that distributes donations, food and medical supplies to Ukrainians affected by the Russia invasion.
