School of nursing recognized

Nursing Schools Almanac has released its 2021 rankings of the best nursing programs in Pennsylvania and Conemaugh School of Nursing ranked fifth among registered nursing diploma programs in the state.

The ranking, which is new in 2021, ranks student performance on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Aspiring registered nurses in the United States must pass this examination before they may practice. Conemaugh School of Nursing graduates registered a 90.8% first-time NCLEX pass rate between 2010 and 2020.

PrimoHoagies to open

PrimoHoagies has signed 18 new franchise agreements to open locations across four states, including one in State College.

Established in South Philadelphia in 1992, PrimoHoagies has grown since it began to franchise in 1999. Franchises currently are operating in seven states — Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
