acts of kindness campaign
During March, staff throughout the Conemaugh Health System wrapped up the organization’s 130 Acts of Kindness campaign in celebration of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s 130th anniversary.
In support of the final 10 acts of kindness, employees donated the monetary value of their annual holiday gifts to local food banks and pantries.
A total of $10,000 was donated to Cambria County Backpack Project, Community Action Partnership of Cambria County, Food for Families, Forest Hills Food Pantry, Franklin Street Food Pantry, Johnstown Family Kitchen, Portage Area Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Saint Vincent de Paul and Walnut Grove Food Pantry.
Blair Chamber plans informational meetings
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce will hold an informational meeting at 5 p.m. April 13 on Zoom for its upcoming Canadian Rockies trip.
Beginning at 6:15 p.m. there will also be a Zoom for the upcoming French Riviera trip. There is no charge and no obligation to attend these Zoom events.

Curry Supply sets virtual event live from Arizona
Curry Supply is hosting a virtual event live from its newest facility in Gilbert, Ariz., on April 14-15. Registrants across the U.S. will be able to hear from the executive sales team as they host product demonstrations on some of the company’s most sought-after work trucks, like crash attenuators, fuel/lube trucks, water trucks, service bodies and more.
There will be five, one-hour virtual broadcasts in which the team will detail the features of each truck, demonstrate proper operation techniques and even train on key selling points about the vehicles. A Q&A session will conclude each session.
