Ollie’s Bargain Outlet reports $64.4M in Q4
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings Inc. on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $64.7 million.
The Harrisburg-based company said it had net income of 98 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 97 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 85 cents per share.
The retailer posted revenue of $515.8 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $486 million.
Chamber to host informational program
Grow PA, a statewide initiative to convene people and organizations throughout Pennsylvania to establish a modern economic growth agenda, is holding a series of informational programs. The next one, set for 11 a.m. Wednesday will be hosted by the Blair County Chamber.
The topic of the Zoom program will be “Regional and Statewide Strategies for Attracting and Retaining Talent.” The hour-long program will include a number of business leaders who will answer questions about how to successfully encourage young people to live and work in their local communities.

Dollar General misses Street expectations in 4th quarter
Dollar General Corp. on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $642.7 million.
The Goodlettsville, Tennessee-based company said it had net income of $2.62 per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 25 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.71 per share.
