Comcast project proceeding

Comcast is continuing with the planned extension of its broadband network in portions of southern Clearfield County and northern Cambria County.

Comcast has finished most of the initial round of installations for the first of 3,900 addresses passed by this project, and those are in the Dysart area of Dean Township, Cambria County. Those customers now have access to internet and phone service from Comcast as well as expanded video services.

“As we continue these installations in the coming months throughout portions of these two counties, we’re using planning and technological efficiencies to streamline the process and will continue to notify existing and new customers about the availability of these services by mail. We expect to work on installations in the Flinton and Fallentimber areas in mid-October,” spokesman Robert Grove said.
