Stuckey Mitsubishi officially opens
STATE COLLEGE — Stuckey Automotive has officially expanded into Centre County.
Stuckey Mitsubishi officially opened Monday at the former Maggi Mitsubishi location at 273 Benner Pike.
Stuckey had purchased the Mitsubishi franchise at the end of June, said President Matt Stuckey.
“This gave us an opportunity to expand into an adjacent county. We are very excited, we have a lot of customers up that way. This gives us another brand to offer our customers, and we are looking forward to it,” Stuckey said.
The Stuckey Mitsubishi service department is located on Shiloh Road, behind the Nittany Mall.
Stuckey said he was able to retain the remaining seven employees from Maggi Mitsubishi and is looking to hire for all departments. He said he hopes to have 30 employees in place by the end of the year.
The acquisition of the Mitsubishi dealership gives Stuckey Automotive four dealerships. Stuckey Mitsubishi joins Stuckey Ford and Stuckey Subaru in Hollidaysburg and Stuckey Buick/GMC in Altoona.
Stuckey also recently opened the Stuckey Automotive Collision Center in Duncansville.
Stuckey also said the business recently purchased a car carrier that will transport cars back and forth from the State College location to the collision center.
