Area radiological firm joins Collaborative Imaging

PLANO — Cambria Somerset Radiology & Nuclear Medicine of Johnstown has joined Collaborative Imaging, a radiologist-owned alliance, based in Plano, Texas.

Collaborative Imaging is comprised of more than 500 partners in six states. Its goal is to help independent radiology practices maintain their autonomy.

Cambria Somerset Radiology Group & Nuclear Medicine has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and serves as the exclusive radiology provider for Conemaugh Health System. As a small independent practice in an underserved area, Cambria partnered with Collaborative Imaging to help with staffing and recruiting resources in order to remain a sustainable practice and avoid staff burnout.

Local auto parts store closes its doors after 52 years

East End Auto Parts, 600 E. Sixth Ave., has closed its doors after 52 years in business.

The business, owned by Bill and Marsha Kustaborder, focused on selling parts for pickup trucks, SUVs and Ford Mustangs, and also offered towing service.

“We had been thinking about retirement, but the COVID-19 helped us to do it so sooner. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” Bill Kustaborder said.
