Conemaugh Nason earns honor
LifePoint Health awarded Conemaugh Nason Medical Center with its 2019 Eastern Division High Five Award for demonstrating excellence across all aspects of the hospital’s operations.
Conemaugh Nason was one of four facilities within LifePoint’s nationwide network to receive the divisional honor.
Each year, the High Five Award is given to one hospital in each of LifePoint’s four divisions that has demonstrated exceptional achievement in fulfilling the company’s High Five Guiding Principles.
First Commonwealth Bank recognized
First Commonwealth Bank has been recognized by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.’s Money Smart Success Stories-Winter 2020 edition for having the Impactful Money Smart for Adults Partnership of the Year.
First Commonwealth was one of only four institutions nationwide recognized by the FDIC for its work to expand financial education and support healthy banking relationships.
First Commonwealth partnered with Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania to provide financial education for participants in Goodwill’s Community Reintegration program. The program enables nonviolent offenders to resume their careers and return to the workforce while getting help reintegrating into the community.
Lewis to offer business presentation
Todd Lewis, president of the Shoe Fly Corp., will give a presentation on his journey as a business owner at 12:05 p.m. March 26 in Room 201 of the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
Lewis, a 1991 Penn State graduate, manages the finances, human resources and business development for Shoe Fly. He worked at the Morris Levine Family Shoe Store in Tyrone throughout high school and college before purchasing Levine’s in 1988, where he went on to operate it independently until 1997. Lewis and the Levines joined Shoe Fly group in 2003, when the store moved to Altoona.
