JOHNSTOWN

DB Homes sets open house

DB Homes Inc., 706 Eisenhower Blvd., will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The public will be able to tour a new two-story model named the Hudson, which is 2,400 square feet and features an open floor plan with four bedrooms and 2.5 baths — as well as a newly designed and upgraded design center.

AssureTech receives grant

AssureTech LLC, a software and technology startup, was awarded a Step Up Grant, which includes $3,500 toward its continued development of the EpiCenter Mobile App and Device.

The grant was awarded by Startup Alleghenies, a free program in central Pennsylvania that helps aspiring entrepreneurs locate the information, tools and connections that will move their ideas from vision to market.

The Step Up Grant, in conjunction with grants from the Ben Franklin Technology Partners and Juniata College, will support the team’s further development of an advanced food allergy management system, the EpiCenter.

Down on the Farm set

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Farm-City Committee will hold its annual Down on the Farm event from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at 4 Seasons Farm LLC, 305 Pacanowski Lane,Tyrone.

Down on the Farm, a family event, features an all-you-can-eat farm to table buffet, hay rides, farm tours, a petting area and other activities for the kids.
