Rutters set to open its 74th store
Rutter’s will open its newest Blair County location at 3000 Sixth Ave. on Wednesday.
The convenience store is located on the former site of a Kings Family Restaurant near Mansion Park, at the fork where Sixth and Seventh avenues come together.
The new location, Rutter’s 74th store, is 8,223 square feet and provides 10 fueling positions, said spokesman Chris Hartman.
This location offers new auto fueling options, including flex fuel, unleaded 15 and ethanol-free gasoline, along with the standard choices of regular, mid-grade and premium gasoline, and auto diesel.
It will have a 29-degree beer cave, as well as a selection of local and national wines brands.
The new location will have 50 employees, Hartman said. Rutter’s will hold an official grand opening from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. March 21.
Rutter’s previously opened locations near Wye Switches and on Route 764 near Duncansville. The York-based company plans to open another location near the Pinecroft interchange of Interstate 99 in 2020.
