Students receive ACM scholarships

CUMBERLAND, Md. — The Allegany College of Maryland Foundation announces that the 17 out-of-county and out-of-state students from Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia received Presidential Award scholarships to attend Allegany College of Maryland.

Local students include Samantha Blackstone, Hopewell; Kassidy Clark, Everett; Jessica Daus, Imler; Lexus Grubb, Everett; Katherine Hartman, Bedford; Jordan Morral, New Enterprise; and Sophie Snyder, Roaring Spring.

ACM Presidential Scholarships are given to one graduate from each of 32 high schools and technical centers in counties and states neighboring Allegany County.

Recipients are nominated by their high school counselors for this select award.

The award is available only to high school seniors who plan to attend ACM full-time.
