Student completes medical research fellowship in NYC

Christian Peoples, son of David and Rhonda Peoples of State College, formerly of Hollidaysburg, completed a medical research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York City, last summer.

His research focus was patterns of failure in stage IV non-small cell lung cancer patients receiving systemic therapy.

He will be presenting his research findings at the 2019 American Society for Radiation Oncology annual meeting this spring in Chicago.

Christian attended early education at Penn-Mont Academy, Hollidaysburg, and graduated from State College Area High School.

He is a 2013 graduate of Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H., with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience; and received his master’s degree in physiology and bio-physics from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., in 2016.

He is attending Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.
