Tom and Diane Mitchell announced the engagement of their son, Ben Mitchell, to Keely Parrish of Frederick, Md. The couple currently live in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Mitchell is a 2012 graduate of Altoona Area High School and received a degree in exercise science from Shepherd University in West Virginia, where he played football.

Miss Parrish is a graduate of Walkersville High School, Frederick.

She attended Towsend University, Towsend, Md., for her undergraduate degree and received her master’s degree from

Penn State University.

An engagement party was hosted by their families in Frederick, Md.
