Patricia Owens of Tyrone will celebrate her 100th birthday with friends and family on Saturday, June 21.

She was born June 17, 1925, in Tyrone, the daughter of Sarah Roy and was raised by her grandparents, Dorsey and Lucy Williams. She married Frank Owens in 1947. She was married to Frank for almost 60 years until he passed in 2006.

She has three children: Frank Owens Jr. of Pittsburgh, Karen Owens of Tyrone and Tony Owens of Tyrone. She also has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Owens worked nearly 30 years at Big Yank, Tyrone, as a seamstress. .

Her hobbies include cooking Sunday dinner for her family every week, decorating her home and loving her family.

She attends Trinity Episcopal Church in Tyrone.
