Nittany Greyhounds to hold meet & greet

Nittany Greyhounds will hold a Meet & Greet event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at Pet Supplies Plus, 277 Northland Center, State College.

The public can come to meet retired racing greyhounds and learn about greyhounds as pets. Lovingly known as 45-mile-an-hour couch potatoes, retired racers adapt well to living in homes. Since 1995, Nittany Greyhounds has found forever homes for more than 2,000 greyhounds in Centre County and beyond.

Blair Democratic women to meet

The Blair County Federation of Democratic Women will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Perkins Restaurant, 3300 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.

All women who are registered Democrats are welcome to attend.
