Senior birthday: Vivian ‘Biddy’ Dugan

Dugan
Vivian “Biddy” Dugan will celebrate her 100th birthday this weekend.
Born May 17, 1925, Biddy has spent a century spreading joy, laughter and wisdom to all those who have been fortunate enough to know her.
A lifelong resident of Hollidaysburg, Biddy spent 64 years alongside late husband David Dugan with whom she had four daughters, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Out of high school, Biddy began working for Sylvania and remained with them for 39 years before retiring in 1983.
To this day, Biddy never hesitates at an opportunity to dance when music starts playing. She was an avid member of several local dance groups, including the Horseshoe Cloggers, the Chimrock Squares and the Boom Klackers.
She is also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hollidaysburg. Currently, her other hobbies include bingo and cardio drumming throughout the winter in Florida and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates or Steelers.
