The Blair County Rock and Mineral Club, Pam Ambler president, met at the Logan Hills Community building and made plans for the seventh annual Rock and Mineral Show at the East Freedom fire hall and a trip to a show in Washington, D.C.

The Patt Organization announced that it would build a 100,000 square foot business park called the Hollidaysburg Business Park near the Meadows Intersection with parking for 400 vehicles for businesses that didn’t require frontage on Route 220.

The Tyrone Area Middle School eighth-grade science students, Beth Cannistraci teacher, designed quick response codes on the Albemarle Corp. Nature Trail that could be scanned in a smartphone to give ecosystem information especially when guides were not present.
