50 years ago: 1975
The Burger Chef Restaurant on Pleasant Valley Boulevard was offering an adult meal of a Big Chef Hamburger, order of French Fries, Apple Turnover and large soft drink for 99 cents on Family Fun Night on Tuesdays. The kids meal was 79 cents.
25 years ago: 2000
About 200 Blair County students took part in the annual National Groundhog Job Shadow Day 2000 in which students visited 95 local businesses to see how they functioned. Also, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow the day before.
10 years ago: 2015
More than 100 Blair County Court employees attended the annual State of the Court Assembly meeting at the courthouse to hear and talk about changes to the system. Janice Meadows was Blair County Court administrator.
