The Altoona Area Public Library announced a new program for youths ages 10-15 called “Seeker Sunday,” in which a movie would be shown the first Sunday of each month, “Sing-along-string-alone” would be held for singers and guitar players and drawing illustrations would be held. Students from six area schools formed the operating committee.
25 years ago: Nov. 25, 1999
Altoona Hospital was hiring 12 new doctors for its new trauma center, which was to begin operating in July and was to be accredited in October 2021. The entire trauma center would consist of 17 medical specialists.
10 years ago: Nov. 25, 2014
Two couples from Johnstown were arrested by Altoona Police for not only selling drugs from a local motel, but also of selling sex, a large box of condoms being found in both rooms they rented.
