Joining the fight against cancer

The Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School recently presented a check to the American Cancer Society. Mary Baker, physical education teacher, organized with students their own Relay For Life and raised $1,723. Participants included (from left): first row — Rachel Monahan, Caden Delattre, Logan Krupka, Rachel Musselman, Ellen Yarnell, Abigail Steiner, Sharon O’Keiff Fusco ACS representative, and Mary Baker PE teacher; second row — Isaac Miller, Caleb Tryninewski, Drew Wyland, Carson Krupka, Jacklyn Hajnosz and Claire Muriceak; third row — Jay Albrano, Mackenzie Link, Leah Petrunak and Aubree Waksmonski; fourth row — Colin Padamonsky, Troy Allen, Mitchell Baronner, Maxwell Baronner, Kaden Kirkham and Dominick Watt; fifth row — Gavin Bell, Tucker Rossman, Wyatt Maines, Paue Wedel, Stone Sral and Aidan Bilek. The students and faculty held a one-day Relay For Life event outdoors with many activities. Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society fund cancer research, provide education and guidance to help reduce their risk and of comprehensive patient support.
