Chip Lamca

Chip Lamca, formerly of Altoona, has earned a doctorate of ministry in missions from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, Mo.

Lamca is a graduate of Altoona Area High School (1982) and Manahath School of Theology (1987).

He is a full-time faculty member at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, previously having served as a pastor in Pittsburgh, Orlando, and Tyrone, and as a missionary in Peru and Ecuador for eight years.

Lamca has led short-term missions teams to several countries in Latin America since starting at Grand Canyon in 2009 and wrote his dissertation on effectively training young adults to lead short-term missions teams in Latin America.

He is married to the former Julie Beck of Altoona and is the son of Diane Lloyd of Arizona and Franklin Lamca of Bedford.
