Women’s tournament during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BELLEFONTE — Confer’s Jewelers has become the title sponsor for Pink Zone’s inaugural women’s golf tournament on Oct. 10 at Toftrees.

“We chose to partner with Pink Zone and their golf tournament because we wanted to honor and celebrate Monteca’s mother, Brenda Confer, who beat breast cancer and counts herself as one of the many survivors,” said Dan Beisel, owner of Confer’s Jewelers.

“We are honored to be a part of such a great organization and look forward to helping to create some wonderful long-lasting relationships.”

This women’s 18-hole golf tournament will be held at Toftrees Golf Resort.

The event will celebrate survivors, honor loved ones and raise funds to further Pink Zone’s mission. Additional sponsorships for the tournament are available ranging from $300 to $7,500.

Foursomes are available for $1,000 that include cart, boxed lunch, drink ticket and post reception. For sponsorships and registration visit www.papinkzone.org/golfpink.

Pennsylvania Pink Zone unites Central Pennsylvania in the battle against breast cancer by mobilizing resources and improving lives.

The organization has distributed more than $2 million to support its partner organizations since 2011.
