Association to honor woman who dramatically improved her health

Nominations are due by April 23

The American Heart Association is accepting nominations for the

Healthy Lifestyle Change Award.

The Healthy Lifestyle Change Award is an

opportunity for individuals in the Blair County

community to nominate a deserving female of any age who has incorporated healthy living into her everyday life, and by doing so has dramatically improved her health.

The awardee will be

recognized locally by the American Heart Association during the Blair Go Red for Women event.

The Go Red Event will take place on May 27 at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona.

Cardiovascular disease

is the No. 1 killer of women. It claims more women’s lives than all forms of cancer combined.

Go Red for Women

is the American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative to end heart disease and stroke in women by helping women understand their risk and empowering them to take charge of their heart health.

To make your nomination, visit blairgored.heart

.org for a downloadable

nomination form and

guidelines, or contact Brooke Greybush at

brooke.greybush@heart.org or 717-730-1713.

Nominations are due by April 23.
