Catholic Daughters to meet Wednesday at K. of C. Hall

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Our Lady of The Alleghenies Court No. 1755, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hollidaysburg.

All Catholic women are welcome to come out for an evening of fun, food, prayers and sharing ideas to help fellow mankind in these hard times.

The group held a virtual meeting instead of their regular monthly meeting on Jan. 13.

Fourteen members attended by video, phone and in-person, including officers.

Secretary Darlene Harlella, Treasurer Annamaria Trombello and Financial Secretary Anita Burket, gave their reports, and thank-you notes were read from Sister Cindy from St. Leonard’s and Father Allen Zeth for donated Christmas gifts from the court.

It was decided by the board to mail to all members the minutes from the previous month, along with the new proposed budget, the new proposed dtanding rules, an updated membership booklet and a ballot for voting for four delegates to the state convention to be held April 16 to 19 at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona.

Members are reminded that Dani Fitch has 16 entries participating in the Adult Education Contest. Judging will be at the February meeting.

It was decided to donate $500 to the Altoona Mirror “Season of Sharing” program for the Altoona Food Bank.

Members should note that Elaine Delozier is the new chair of the Prayer Chain Committee. If you have a prayer request, please call Elaine at 207-1051 or email her at emdelol051(S)yahoo.com.

If interested in joining, contact any Catholic Daughter member or Laurie Staub, local regent, at 327-9663.
