Breathe Pa. seeks donations for lung health help
This year, lung health has never been more important. We have all been doing our part by wearing face masks, washing our hands and socially distancing.
Breathe Pennsylvania continues to be out in the community providing high-quality lung health education and programs.
This year, it provided services to more than 8,600 neighbors and expects that number to rise.
“Now, more than ever, we need your help! Please consider making a donation so we can continue to serve our neighbors in need,” a press release urges. “100% of your contributions support program costs, and 84 cents of every dollar is used to fund programs for people with breathing problems in our community.”
Donations will support programs that improve lung health, including how to correctly take respiratory medications, quit smoking and advocate for healthy lungs. Ultimately, these programs improve the quality of life for individuals living with lung disease.
Local lung health education and outreach is made possible by generous donations. One in five of your neighbors lives with lung disease and needs your help. Here’s some examples:
n A gift of $250 will pay for neighbor’s breathing medication.
n A gift of $100 will help a neighbor attend pulmonary rehab for free.
n A gift of $50 will provide school districts evidence-based vaping education and resources.
n A gift of $25 will give an asthmatic child a nebulizer to take their breathing treatments.
