Pet event to benefit Eyes for Olive

JOHNSTOWN — The Stadium Pub & Grille will host a Halloween Pet Trot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24 to benefit the Eyes for Olive Fund.

Area residents can bring pets in costume for a trot around the parking lot. All participants will receive a treat bag. T-shirts will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to the EFO Fund.

Riss Photography will have mini photo sessions available on Oct. 25 for a donation that will also go to the EFO Fund. To schedule a pet photo session, call Stacey at

244-7481.

The Eyes for Olive Fund is a fundraiser to help Olive, a 1-year-old goldendoodle who was born with cataracts that left her almost totally blind. Stacey and Pat Martella rescued Olive in December of 2019 and were unaware of her health condition.

Since Olive needs to have cataract surgery in Pittsburgh, the Martellas are hoping to raise enough money to pay for surgery on one eye while they pay the cost of surgery on her other eye.

“If our fundraiser is a success, we will continue it every year and donate proceeds to a dog or cat who is in need of surgery that the pet’s owner can’t afford,” Pat Martella said.
