Extension offers Home Food Preservation Webinar Series
Best practices in home food preservation techniques will be the focus of a Penn State Extension webinar series with topics ranging from pressure canning to pickling and drying.
Water Bath Canning — 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 30 and
7 to 8:30 p.m. July 15.
Pressure Canning —
1 to 2:30 p.m. July 9.
Pickling — 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 13.
Drying — 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 21.
Jams and Jellies — 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 22.
Tomatoes and Salsa —
7 to 8:30 p.m. July 27 and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 19.

The Home Food Preservation Webinar Series will provide participants with the scientific background, preparation tips and safe processing methods to preserve food at home. To see all the webinars offered, visit: http://www.extension.psu
Each webinar will explain the scientific reasoning behind today’s recommended methods for home food preservation, while dispelling food preservation myths and unsafe practices of the past.
Participants may register for each webinar individually and attend as many as they like. Cost of the webinars is $5 each.
