Contra dance set for Feb. 21
STATE COLLEGE — The Central Pennsylvania Country Dance Association will hold a Contra Dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the State College Friends School, 1900 University Drive.
Bob Nicholson will call the dances to music by Smash the Windows.
All dances are taught and are easy to learn. No partner is needed. New and experienced dancers are welcome. The steps are similar to square dancing.
First-time dancers receive a coupon for a free dance.

Society to hold yard sale in Bedford
BEDFORD — The Bedford County Historical Society will hold a yard sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 21 and 22 at the hall at Kinton’s Knob the event space above the historical society at 6441 Lincoln Highway.
It is a fundraiser for the society and library. Organizers are asking the public for their support to help the society and the library stay open.

Mount sets small group presentations
CRESSON — Mount Aloysius College will hold Presidents’ Day Small Group Presentations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and Monday.
Participants can meet with a financial aid counselor and an admissions counselor.
All students in attendance will receive a free MAC gift and an opportunity to complete a fee-waived application.
Beekeepers to meet Sunday in Altoona
The Cambria-Clearfield-Blair County Beekeepers will present a seminar for beginning beekeepers
at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lighthouse Men’s Christian Fellowship, 224 Woomer Road, Altoona.
