Roaring Spring library announces activities for Nov.

ROARING SPRING — Roaring Spring Community Library has announced its activities for November. The library will be closed Monday in observance of Veterans Day and Nov. 28 in observance of Thanksgiving.

6 p.m. today — “Understanding pH.” Victoria from Little Rock Natural Remedies will explain what pH is, how it affects your body and how to balance it the natural way.

5 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 — Spaghetti dinner at Trinity United Methodist Church, 434 E. Main St. The cost is a freewill donation and will feature “Uncle Jerry” Green’s World Famous Spaghetti with a choice of three sauces, bread, salad, dessert and beverages. All money raised will go directly to the library.

5:30 p.m. Nov. 19 — Free computer class. Tom Robison will answer questions about personal computers and explain how to make your computer use more enjoyable and understandable. Take your own computer questions and laptop if you wish. No signup is needed; email corporal99

6 p.m. Wednesdays — Knitting and crochet group. Whether you have been knitting for decades or just days join this welcoming group.

10:30 a.m. Mondays — Toddler Time Story Hour. Join Miss Cortney for stories, games, dancing and fun.

6 p.m. Mondays — Troop 43009 Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts of Western PA Hosts. Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadets meet on the lower level of the library.

5:30 p.m. Thursdays — Rockin at the Library. This is not a structured class but a drop-in do-it-yourself rock painting program. There will be a guest rock painter from time to time. The library will supply the paint, brushes and rocks.

The Roaring Spring Community Library was selected by Martin’s store leadership as the benefiting nonprofit in the Bags 4 My Cause Program for November. The library will receive a $1 donation every time a reusable $2.50 Bags 4 My Cause Bag is sold in November at the Martin’s store located at 221 Glimcher Drive Ducansville.
