Altoona Dance Theatre completes season

Altoona Dance Theatre completed its 16th season, ending its competition season with the following:

The studio received the Beautiful Pictures award and the Select Studio of Excellence award, along with 28 platinum and diamond awards, 49 high gold, 48 gold and two silver.

It also had one title-winning dancer.

At Mr. Starquest, ADT received three second runner-up to title awards.

At the Aspire Award and free convention, it received nine special awards, five photogenic winners, one overall photogenic winner and a fifth-place overall winner. In addition, one senior won a $1,500 scholarship.

ADT received a free-solo award and eight costume awards, and three dancers were chosen for the USA elite team.

In addition to these awards, 75% of ADT’s dancers and dances placed for overall top scores.

It received first overall for seven dances, second overall for nine dances, third overall for 13 dances, fourth overall for two dances and fifth overall for two dances.

Solos placing out of entire solo age levels all genres were fifth out of 10, eighth out of 10, seventh out of 30, second out of seven, 13th out of 44, 15th out of 44 and 20th out of 60.

Altoona Dance Theatre is dedicated to the exceptional teaching of classical ballet and all other forms of dance in a disciplined, yet fun, learning environment.
