Law enforcement golf tournament is June 14
The Blair County Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation will hold its 16th annual golf tournament on June 14 at the King Golf Course in Claysburg.
It will be a four-man best-ball scramble with an
8 a.m. tee-off. There will be double contests on the following skill contests: longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin and straightest drive.
The cost is $250 for a four-man team, which includes 18 holes with cart, a buffet meal following the tournament, refreshments, prizes, hole-in-one prizes and a chance to win a car on selected holes. A $300 registration also includes a hole sponsorship. The event is limited to 36 teams.
Hole sponsorships are available for $100.
Registrations must be received by May 31.
Make checks payable to BCLEOMF Golf Tourna-ment and mail to: P.O. Box 75, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648-0075.
This event is in an attempt to continue to raise funds to keep the foundation in existence. Past tournaments have been very successful thanks to all the sponsorship and player participation.
The Memorial Foundation was created to show tribute to those fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice — his or her life — to protect the safety and well being to Blair County.
Volunteers are also needed on the day of the event.
