Hollidaysburg Area Arts Council plans art walk, ‘Music in the Burg’

June 19 — Art Walk from 6 to 8 p.m. starting at 321 Gallery on Allegheny Street to pick up a handout with map. There will be eight stops that will include 321 Gallery to hear featured artist Evgeny “Zheka” Krayushkin, see an exterior mural, courthouse renovations, gardens, the oldest building on Allegheny Street, a piece of 1950s commercial art, participate in a community art project “Macraweave,” and live musicians.

The following free “Music in the Burg” concerts will be held at Canal Basin Park. Take a lawn chair. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School.

June 16 — 7 p.m., Mama Corn.

July 21 — 7 p.m., Altoona Brass Collective.

Aug. 24 — 6 p.m., Altoona Symphony Orchestra.
