Courtesy Ford raising money for Because We Care
Courtesy Ford, Altoona, is bringing Ford Motor Co.’s Drive 4 UR Commun-ity program to the Altoona community in an effort to raise up to a maximum of $6,000 for Because We Care.
For every person who test-drives a new Ford vehicle at Courtesy Ford on Saturday, Ford Motor Co. will donate $20 to Because We Care. The funds will go toward arming law enforcement officers and first responders with hope-inspiring teddy bears to distribute to the children in their care.
“We know funding for community programs is hard to come by, and we want to do our part to help make sure these programs remain available,” said Robby Shaffer, sales manager at Courtesy Ford. “We’re excited to raise money for the Because We Care Foundation.”
The event, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature many vehicles from Ford’s lineup.
“Whether you are looking to test out our vehicles, like the No. 1-selling Ford F-150, or want to try out technology features, like active park assist in the Escape, we will be able to put you behind the wheel of your favorite Ford vehicle,” said Shaffer. Dealership staff on-site will be able to assist with all Ford vehicles and provide additional information about each vehicle available for a test-drive.
No purchase is necessary. Participants must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and valid automobile insurance. Lim-it one donation per person and one donation per household.
