Claysburg library offers new experiences

CLAYSBURG — During March, the Claysburg Area Public Library offered a new club called Girls Who Code.

The girls created a quiz program from Scratch, a computer coding program created by MIT.

Their program explained how to train your puppy and followed up with a quiz. Alivia Snyder and Erika Crist established the background and sprites and coded the response to the quiz.

Another new experience the library offered was acrylic pouring on April 23.

An informational meeting on Essential Oils will be held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month.

Lego Club meets at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month. This offers children STEM challenges by using building strategies.

The used book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
