ASO to hold season finale

The Altoona Symphony Orchestra performs its final concert of its 93rd Season “Pops In Space!” 7:30 p.m. May 21 at the Mishler Theatre.

Maestro Nick Palmer will lead the ASO on its journey to outer space and said the set list “is a great way to introduce new listeners to the excitement of a full orchestra concert. The evening features iconic music from Star Wars films 3, 4, 7 and 8 and music from Rogue One and The Mandalorian.

“This is a perfect concert for fans of both classical and pops music with “Jupiter” from “The Planets” by Gustav Holst featured, as well as John Williams complex score to “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” Palmer said.

The concert is sponsored by Janie and Lee Hite, Sheetz Inc. and the Wolf-Kuhn Foundation.
