Little Picasso gallery seeks youth artists

Young artists are invited to submit artwork for the ArtsAltoona Little Picasso Youth Art Gallery.

Artwork will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 1, and the Little Picasso Gallery will be open to showcase youth art from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the ArtsAltoona Center parking lot, lawn and inside in the Blank Canvas event room.

ArtsAltoona is looking to showcase artwork created by kids from preschool through high school age. Any medium accepted.

Art can be submitted in person at the ArtsAltoona Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All two dimensional “flat” artwork must be framed.

Young artists will have the opportunity to sell their creations. There is no fee to enter and the youth will earn all the profits from sales of their art. Young artists may submit up to 10 pieces.

Admission to the public to the Little Picasso Gallery will be $5 at the door, and all young artists will get in for free.

The ArtsAltoona Center is at 2212 Sixth Ave., Altoona. Parking is located behind the buildings, with additional parking available.
