Christmas services changed
First United Methodist Church in Hollidaysburg has adjusted how it will celebrate the Christmas season. In order to keep the community and congregants safe, this year’s Christmas Eve service will be online only.
In addition to regular weekend worship services, 10 Christmas services of worship will be held from Monday, Dec. 14, through Wednesday, Dec. 23. Attendees are asked to register ahead of time so that safety protocols are followed and social distancing takes place.
Worship times are: 7 p.m. Dec. 14; 3 p.m. Dec. 15; 3 and 7 p.m. Dec. 16; 7 p.m. Dec. 17; 3 p.m. Dec. 18; 7 p.m. Dec. 21; 3 p.m. Dec. 22; and 3 and 7 p.m. Dec. 23.
For the safety of others, attendees are asked to wear masks or face shields.

Clothing giveaway scheduled
Grace’s Closet clothing giveaway will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 14, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1114 N. Cambria St., Bellwood. Fall and winter clothing is available. Masks should be worn and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Free soup available
Free soup and a biscuits will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Fourth Avenue Church of God, Fourth Avenue and 21st Street. The free lunch will be available for take out only and while supplies last. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Quilt and craft show planned
A quilt and craft show will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 14-15, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of St. Patrick’s School in Newry. The show will be held in the school’s gym.
Baked goods will also be available for purchase.
All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed and visitors should wear masks.
Food pantries open
n Sacred Heart Food Pantry, 2009 Sixth Ave., is open from
10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. every Wednesday. Everyone is welcome. Currently, no ID or proof of income is needed. For more information, contact Carol at email@example.com.
n The Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren food pantry is open Fridays by appointment only. For information or an appointment, call Deb at 207-8293.
