Church moves to new location

Center City Church has moved its primary location, and is now in a soft-opening phase at 1220 12th Ave., downtown Altoona, in the former First United Methodist Church, brownstone building.

From now through the summer, Sunday morning worship will be held at 9 a.m. in the new location. The building has been approved for occupancy during renovations. Services will be simplified to accommodate ongoing construction. Social distancing, masks and temperature checks are some of the protocols being put into place to ensure the church family is safe.

The church also plans to taper off its weekly Saturday food giveaway. Distribution continues at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30, and at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6, with limited supplies.

Facebook Live events at the CCC Facebook page will be held at 7 p.m. June 4.

Will Ford will join Pastor Jim Kilmartin to discuss Expectations for Revival and Pentecost Outpouring and The Difference between Wealth, Riches and Money.
