Events canceled

St. Benedict Church, in the Geistown section of Johnstown, has canceled of its annual Reunion Festival scheduled for July 10-12. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the committee is concerned for the health and safety of all the attendees including the general public, volunteers, vendors, parishioners and entertainers. Government restrictions regarding public events and limitations of crowd size and social distancing were also factors the committee had to consider. In the near future, the church will be selling chance tickets for various prizes to be awarded later this year, including tickets to win a 2020 Ford Ecosport SE AWD car to be awarded in November. Contact the church at 266-9718 to purchase tickets.

The committee is also exploring other activities that can be held while the large gathering restrictions are in place as well as when they are lifted. The committee plans to hold the St. Benedict Church annual Reunion Festival on July 9-11, 2021.
