Author to hold signing for book about Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood
Author Chris Rodell is releasing, “Growing Up in the REAL Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: Life Lessons from the Heart of Latrobe, Pennsylvania” and will be holding a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Altoona Barnes and Noble, Nov. 23.
The book tells about how Latrobe influenced the young Rogers and in turn he influenced Latrobe as well as how the two influenced the author.
Rodell is also the author of “Arnold Palmer: Homespun Stories Of The King;” “Use All The Crayons! The Colorful Guide To Simple Human Happiness;” and “The Last Baby Boomer: The Story of the Ultimate Ghoul Pool.”
In Rodell’s career as a freelance writer, he has wrestled alligators, raced Ferraris, gone skydiving, lain on beds of nails, and gained twenty pounds in one week eating like Elvis. He lives in Latrobe with his wife Valerie, their daughters, Josie and Lucy.
