The Altoona Chapter of Aglow International will meet Tuesday at the Hoss’s Steak and Sea House on Seventh Street and Pleasant Valley Boulevard. Lunch is at noon, followed by the meeting at 12:45 p.m. This month’s meeting is a prayer, praise and worship gathering. Men and women are welcome.

Fall revival services will be held at 7 p.m. each evening, Oct. 22-25, at the Raystown Brethren Church, 8753 Raystown Road, Saxton. Speaker Jeff Musser, with music by the Miller’s, is slated for Oct. 22.

On Oct. 23, Dan Hammel will be the speaker, with music by Heaven Bound. Neil Stevenson will lead the service on Oct. 24, with music by Don and Jane Guthridge. On Oct. 25, Travis Chamberlain will be featured, along with music by the Jen Koonz Group.

Newry Lutheran Church, 1030 Shamrock Lane, Newry, will hold a craft and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 21. Crafts will include holiday decorations, gifts and useful household items. Lunch is also available.

A fall festival will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

Oct. 14 at Faith Assembly of God, 4870 Cove Mountain Road, Roaring Spring.

The Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd., will celebrate its 127th annual Missions Festival today through Sunday.

Guest international worker will be Charlotte Hisle, serving in Portugal with the C&MA. The theme is “Peculiar for a purpose.”

A tailgating party before the Hollidaysburg vs. Tyrone football game will be held at 5:30 p.m. today.

A women’s breakfast with Hisle and men’s breakfast with Ron Baum will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Perkins. Baum will speak about his recent trip to Portugal. Games for children, Portugal food tasting, prayer stations, Mercy Maker and a missions Skype cafe will be ongoing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.

On Sunday, Hisle will speak during the 8 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. services, which will include the annual Parade of Flags.

Victory Express from Mount Joy will present a gospel concert at the Lighthouse, Morning Star Ministries, at 10 a.m. Oct. 22.

Ron Cornell, along with his wife, Bonnie, and two granddaughters, Maria and Kayla, have been ministering through music for more than 20 years.

The 10th Novena of 2017 to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Therese (the Little Flower) offered by the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Loretto will open Oct. 22 and end Oct. 30.

All intentions submitted to the nuns will be remembered with the special Novena prayers following the daily Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the sisters’ chapel. Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament is held at 4 p.m. every Sunday and the first Friday of each month.

All are welcome to attend the Benediction followed by the veneration of the relic of St. Therese of the Child Jesus of the Holy Face.

Those who desire to share in the graces and blessings of these nine days of prayer, and in the private prayers of the Carmelite Nuns during the Novena, should send petitions to Mother Prioress, Discalced Carmelite Monastery, Post Office Box 57, Loretto, PA 15940.
